Los Angeles, CA -- El Chacaloso de Durango, the controversial, unapologetic bad boy of the narco corrido world, is back on the scene with a brand new album, titled 'Pa que los quiero vivos'.
Released under Univision Records, the album includes the smash hit single "Mi Jeep Blindao", in tribute to his menacing 4x4 bullet-proof Jeep.
The polarizing figure stormed into the narco corrido scene in late 2008 with his inciting, outrageous, and unconventional lyrics, soon becoming one of the most prominent artists in the genre. Univision Records, recognizing real talent when they see it, immediately signed the gifted young artists to a two album deal.
But his instant fame was immediately followed by a deluge of controversy.
Released in 2008, his entire debut album was banned from every single country due to the incomprehensible amount of obscene words in it. According to LA's La Que Buena, DJs at the radio station tried to bend the rules by playing a few of his songs and bleeping out the bad words, but the resulting songs were inaudible due to the extensive amount of bleeps in them.
Following the disappointing news of his album's expulsion from mainstream radio, El Chacaloso, whose real name is Samuel Rosales, was arrested and given two years in jail for attempted vehicle manslaughter. According to LAPD, he tried to run over a group of black people with his bullet proof Jeep in Inglewood, CA.
With his sophomore album being released today, the 22 year old artists intends to rectify the mistakes made in his previous album. He hopes that after this album, there will be no doubt as to which narco corrido artist is the most "Chacaloso".
